We hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. We know this COVID-19 pandemic has taken its toll on everyone, and we are thinking of you especially during this month of May. May is supposed to be a time when we celebrate graduates and eagerly await the upcoming summer months, but the pandemic has changed so many of our plans. Schools, sports seasons, graduations and so many more events have been cancelled, including our Second Annual Family Fun Day.
May is also Brain Cancer Awareness month, a time to, among other things, remember and reflect upon the Foundation’s purpose and mission, which is to fund therapies and critical research to fight pediatric brain cancer, support our doctors at Children’s National Hospital and, ultimately, save lives. Despite having to cancel Family Fun Day this year, we remain steadfast in our mission and want to assure that Family Fun Day will return next year. We look forward to seeing you all there (and, hopefully, we will see you well before then).
Stay #WillieStrong and enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend.
Lots of Love,
The Hughes Family
